Stay Faithful
I feel so much conviction in this week’s Simply Faith Friday. I know this is for a specific person, and I pray it reaches you.
Do not let up in this season. God gave you specific instructions, and it may feel like God is not hearing you or that you are not doing enough. I need you to know that it is enough. God may have you in a season of stillness.
It may feel like you aren’t too high, you aren’t too low, but you are somewhere in the middle—and that goes against what you are used to doing. You are used to moving and doing. And this time, God has you still. Waiting. Spending time with Him. Quieting your heart.
I know God is doing this and leading you in this direction for a reason. Don’t let the enemy trick you into thinking that quietness, this “lack of movement,” means you are falling behind. No—it means you are doing enough.
“God can pull so much glory out of a quiet, hidden season.”
It’s a trick of the enemy to get you to take matters into your own hands. But the posture of your heart that God is training you to walk in now is necessary for where you are going next.
Here’s the clarity I want to add: many of us crave “what’s next,” but God is showing us that faithfulness right now is what’s next.
If you know me, you know I am a girl who loves a “what’s next” plan. But what’s next is what we are doing right now. Stay focused on what’s in front of you.
God is teaching you to depend on Him and to have childlike faith. Don’t be surprised by the enemy's distractions during this time. Stay close to the feet of Jesus.
What does that mean? Spend that extra minute in prayer. Pull out that Bible app. Read that scripture. Turn that conversation off if it starts going left. You need to hear God right now. When it feels heavy, go directly to God’s presence.
And the more you press in, the enemy will try to throw distractions—everything he can think of. But don’t be caught off guard. He can’t win. He can’t defeat you when your heart is postured in worship and surrender.
“No matter what: stay faithful.”
The Holy Spirit led me into repentance yesterday during prayer and devotion. I felt it so heavy in my spirit to ask God to forgive me for past seasons when I wasn’t faithful to His assignment.
It wasn’t a condemnation. That’s how I knew it was God because He doesn’t condemn. He lovingly brought to my attention that my heart posture was off in previous seasons. I had to ask God to forgive me for treating my assignment as if it were optional rather than a mandate.
As I write this, I hear God so clearly. He is requiring me, Sam, to be more disciplined and committed to my assignment. It has to be intentional. Seek God for every move concerning His plan, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem.
We need time with Him to hear His voice. This is accomplished through prayer and fasting. If you don’t have the strength to self-start, that’s why we need community.
Speaking of… I need community. I need authentic people who are after God. Not titles, not positions—but people who just want to obey Him.
Lord, where are my people?
If you are also praying for authentic community—for people who are hungry for God and not titles—you’re not alone. I’m believing for that too.
If this spoke to you, I’d love to hear from you. Drop a comment or reply back to this post. Let’s stay faithful together.
In purpose,
Simply Faith
