The Power of One Yes
“You haven’t even said yes yet.”
That’s what God told me.
Thanks for reading Simply Faith Fridays with Dr. Sam! Subscribe for free to receive new posts and support my work.
A couple of months ago I was asking God for details. “What do You want me to do with Lower Me Through The Roof? Give me the plan. Give me the strategy. Give me something.” And He stopped me right there.
“You haven’t even said yes yet.”
Thank God for another Simply Faith Friday.
I want to talk to somebody standing in the middle of a decision. You see the small step. You know God is showing you something. You’re standing there waiting on Him to hand you the rest of it before you move.
Let me tell you what to do first.
Pray.
Ask God for discernment. Ask for wisdom. “Lord, what is this? What do You want me to do with this idea? This thought that won’t leave me alone?”
If He keeps dropping it in your heart, almost like it’s nagging you, thank God for that.
After you’ve prayed, there comes a point where you have to say yes before He releases anything else.
Not after you understand it. Not after you can afford it. Not after you can see the whole thing.
Tell God Yes first.
Afterward, you wouldn’t believe how God starts pouring out vision and aligning resources.
When it’s God, I promise you there is provision connected to it. He is not going to make you carry it by yourself. He will grace you to do whatever He’s calling you to do.
I’m telling you this from a posture of awe. I still can’t believe everything that has happened since I told God yes just a few short months ago. We are almost at seating capacity with active plans to make more room. God told me one simple instruction. “Make the room. I will get my people to me.”
My mentor, Pastor Erica Nathan, asked me when I first shared with her the idea, “Sam, what’s the worst that could happen if you go for it? You run out of chairs?”
From that day to this, I have watched God move miraculously.
For anybody saying you don’t have the time to get it done, I’m leaning on a promise God gave me at the top of the year. He said, “If you take care of My business, I will take care of yours.”
He has been faithful to that promise in more ways than I can openly share right now. One day I’m going to testify about everything I’ve been facing while planning this assignment. If you know me, you know I’m going to tell the WHOLE story, LOL. But for now, pray for your girl.
I was minding my business today when the Lord told me to release this. So if you’re the one sitting on a vision, wondering what in the world to do with it, hear me.
You haven’t even said yes yet.
That’s all He’s waiting on.
In purpose,
Simply Faith
We are close to capacity with plans to make more room. If this is your yes, come sit with us. 🧡
